Install VMR Connect to your PC/Mac
First of all, you can not only shut down your computer from the VLC Mobile Remote app, but you can also restart, lock and log off remotely. To do that, you must set up the VLC Mobile Remote using VMR Connect. So, download then install VMR Connect to your PC or Mac, once it’s installed and running on your computer, open the VLC Mobile Remote app on your phone to the computers screen and wait a bit, the app will detect your computer, just tap on your computer name, it will connect to your computer. On connection successful, tap on the ‘Power’ tab, it will have an option to shutdown, restart, log off or lock your PC/Mac.
